Q: Where does your drinking water come from?
A: We pump water out of our spring fed lake into a large tank, where it goes through a treatment system and lots of filters. The drinking water then goes through a reverse osmosis system.
Q: What does a typical day at the lodge look like?
A: However you would like it to! You are welcome to take your boat out anytime you would like and fish to your heart’s content. You can hang out and read or play cards in our large, comfortable lodge. The only “schedule” is mealtimes, 8:30, 12:30, and 6:30, and the generator will be turned off between 10:00 and 11:00pm. There are lanterns in each cabin and solar powered lights in the main lodge when the generator is not running.
Q: Is there Wifi?
A: Yes! We have starlink wifi that works from every building at the lodge.
Q: Can I charge my devices?
A: Yes, we run the generator for a few hours each day. During this time, your cabin will have power. The rest of the time we have a charging station powered by Solar that is in the main lodge.
Q: Do I need to bring my own towels?
A: We provide you with towels and face cloths! Please bring with you your toiletry items.
Q: Do you provide fishing guides?
A: No. This is a self guided lake. You are never more than 30 minutes away from the main lodge, which can always be found by following the shore if you happen to get lost! We will provide you with a map and some details on the best fishing spots, and send you to catch fish in peace and tranquility.
Q: What about food allergies?
A: I am only one cook in one kitchen, so I can never guaruntee that there will not be some cross contamination. However, I have served many guests who eat gluten free successfully, as well as peanut allergies. Complex allergies or multiple allergies pose an issue for our lodge.
Q: What are the rules for kids?
A: We love having kids at Gypsy! We even offer them a discount! We ask that you keep your children with you at all times, they are never to be left on their own or in our care. Please ensure they wear their lifejackets. Have fun and make memories!
